Legend has it that near Lake Jingbo, in northeastern China, there lived a beautiful and skilled young fisherwoman who, finding the long, loose-fitting clothes she wore uncomfortable and unsuitable for fishing, one day thought of making herself a more practical outfit.

So he created a tighter dress, closed by a long row of buttons, featuring two deep side slits perfect for tucking in the front.

The young Manchu emperor who reigned in China at that time was told that he would marry a fisherwoman from the lake who had sewn an unusual dress for herself.

It was then, with the union between the fisherwoman and the emperor, that the cheongsam became one of the most popular dresses in China, even if the model as we know it today comes directly from Shanghai in the 1920s.

It is during this period, in fact, that the cheongsam or qipao becomes shorter and tighter.

For you, short qipao, with zip on the side and tactical buttons, Mandarin collar that closes with classic fabric toggles.

Made of pure natural silk, the base is black and enriched by the traditional multicolored design of stylized dragons and flowers: from gold to red, from green to blue.

👉🏻Some very slight imperfections in the fabric, absolutely acceptable

📐It is out of size but the best fit is for an M/L, flat measurements: shoulders 42 cm, chest 51, length 84, waist 43, hips 54, side slits 16.
