By designer Diego Casella, Brooches - Pins from the early 90s, in shiny gold and silver enameled metal, depicting the profile of women dressed in 1920s style.
Gatsby… Tamara de Lempicka… the short haircuts and cloche hats, the black-lined eyes, the garçonne look…
The facial features and hats are in relief, in the drawing I notice Something "disturbing," like in Picasso's paintings: the eyes are disproportionate, protruding, misaligned. The eyelashes are exaggerated, the nose is prominent. The drawing seems almost two-dimensional, yet to the touch, the third dimension is completely there.
I revisit Schiaparelli's latest creations at the hands of Roseberry: those faces are the sum of a century of visions.
👉🏻excellent vintage condition.
📐height approximately 4.5 cm.
💫 Gorgeous to wear on hats, jacket lapels, as a scarf holder but also as a hook or buckle on clothes.
One or all three together, exaggerating, in full Schiaparelli style!
🫶🏻unisex!!! Did you see how many men wore pins at the Oscars???
